Great Society Fund

Welcome to The Great Society Fund! GSF is a part of a larger culture of social entrepreneurship at the LBJ School in Austin, Texas. The grants GSF awards support LBJ student and alumni ventures that promote lasting improvements to our neighborhoods, nations, and world.

Through fundraising efforts, GSF has been able to support projects as diverse as an educational development organization in the Dominican Republic and an ESL program training workers right here in Austin. Announcing our 2008 Grant Winner!
Youth Aging In, a new venture by LBJ student Dr. Laurie Seremetis, has won the third Great Society Fund grant of $10,000. Thank you all for your support of her idea to help children aging out of foster care "age in" to a supportive community. Go to our grants page to learn more.
